The new website is LIVE!
April 9th, 2013
Welcome to the new website! I hope you enjoy your visit.
It’s been down for a long time…I know, I know… Truth be told, this website has taken me two and a half years to get it the way I wanted it. I wanted it to have areas that included all of my creative avenues and I took my time. In fact, you may actually see posts from 2010! HUGE thanks to my clients, business partners, friends, and family that have and continue to refer me – it is because of you that I have been able to thrive these past few years while building my bricks, mortar, and interactive areas of my business. I really appreciate your support. I hope all visitors will check out my “Favorites” blog category where I am planning on talking about all of my favorite people, places, and things. You’ll see some really great people & places there right now.
Shoot-Scoop, my old blog, is in dire need of an update, and for those of you that followed Shoot-Scoop, you may have noticed I have password protected most of the family sessions over there. The internet is a scary place and while I like to operate under the assumption most people are genuine and good, I feel it’s important to protect the little ones. No longer will last names be used and in most cases first names will be changed. Until I get to that, I will be posting here.
I also have tons of new house projects to update on as well. We survived Sandy without any damage aside from a few small trees down. Many we know were not that fortunate. The Nor’easter in January took off one of our flat roofs on our 1856 Farmhouse and exposed two of our bedrooms on the top floor and water went down to the first floor. As a result, of this, we are still under construction. It will make for some interesting blog reading, believe me! I knew when we purchased this house it was going to be a second full-time job for me and I’m actually thankful for the projects – they make me who I am today! For now, subscribe to this website to get updates. I’m thrilled for you to be following along.
HUGE thanks to my friend across the pond, Heinz Schmidt, Mustard Seed Media for helping me.
This new website format is structured just the way I need it with tons of flexibility. For those of you that aren’t familiar with me or my work, my very first love is drawing and painting with acrylics and oil paints. I am working in my studio on a series of 9 oil paintings. I had initially wanted to have them complete for the launch of the site but realized that I simply cannot rush this process and they are not yet complete. It is something to look forward to. Stay tuned! Looking forward to updating, and I’m happy to share my work with you.
All the Best,
~ Laura
